This was after the book and movie ‘Pumping Iron’ came out. Hadn’t tried OL yet, was just lifting heavy down at the Stamford Y, and playing baseball at UCONN.
Shaved and tanned, weighed 190 with 31 inch waist. Very good experience (except for the limited calorie intake!) inserting this type of training – now termed ‘sarcolasmic hypertrophy training’ – very valuable in long term plan for variety, cycling training loads, and avoidance of injury.
